Peter Magadini
Artist Site
New website for legendary jazz drummer Peter Magadini. Mr. Magadini's first site was built with Adobe Flash, a common problem for performing artists with older websites because Flash was great for distinctive design and media. But with poor support for Flash on mobile and almost no way for the owner to work with content, it was decided that Wordpress would be a better solution going forward.
Pete liked some design elements from his old site, so I preserved the color pallete and overall feel. An image slider with a rotating collection of Pete's many student testimonials was placed above the fold on the home page and news entries below.
The final step was creating a tutorial document acquainting the client with Wordpress and walked him through all of the steps required to make his own posts, add photos and media and answer comments and contact inquiries.
