Ready SF provides field training and seminars on Wilderness First Aid, Risk Management and Emergency Preparedness for outdoor professionals, businesses and organizations. Their old site, while fairly functional, was suffering from an out-of-date look, stale branding and a lack of responsive web design. Basically, Web 1.0.
Ready SF’s owner worked with an agency to develop new design and branding. After receiving mockups, style guides and some rough content I went to work building a WordPress solution. While the Home page was built from the Photoshop mockup to the pixel, I had some leeway on the internal pages, and worked with the owner to dial-in the layout, color palette and image content.
The new site also needed to both retain functionality from the old site and add some new features. Data queries and filters were built into the backend using the Toolset plugin suite. A workflow that led the user through course scheduling to class registration to a payment gateway with confirmation was created. The end result was a fresh looking website with feel and functionality that presents the client’s business as current and cutting-edge.
