Seattle filmmaker Riley Morton needed a new site that could feature his work using modern video players in a layout responsive to mobile devices. While HTML5 video is awesome and easily embeddable, it doesn’t always play nice with responsive design.

There is a great theme out there by Teo Themes called SCRN that does a great job of handling video. It is single page, which minimizes page reloads (to one!) and combines and embedded player, a pop-out player with meta, and a Lightbox option, giving the developer and the user a lot of different options for viewing video.

Riley is also a great photographer, so there were plenty of image assets to throw into the parallax backgrounds. A lot of categorization on the backend made front end organization straightforward. Riley now has a site that should serve him well beyond the normal website life-cycle.
